Privacy Policy for Lead Sniper
This Privacy Policy explains what information the Lead Sniper browser extension ("the Extension", "we", "us") collects, how it is used, and how it is protected. By activating and using the Extension you agree to this policy.
1. Summary in plain language
- The Extension is a licensed tool for logged-in IndiaMART sellers. It helps you spot and act on new buy-leads that match your keywords.
- To verify your license and enforce the device limit, we collect your login email, a randomly generated device identifier, and your license key.
- The buy-lead and buyer data the Extension reads from IndiaMART stays inside your own browser. It is not sent to our servers.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
2. Information we collect
a) Account and licensing data (sent to our server):
- The email address you log in with.
- Your license key.
- A random device identifier (a UUID generated in your browser). This is not a hardware ID or MAC address; it only lets us count how many devices use one license.
- Timestamps of activation and periodic "still active" checks (heartbeats), plus a short device label such as "Chrome on Windows".
- Your approximate request rate, used only to prevent abuse (rate limiting).
b) Lead data (stays on your device):
- The Extension reads your IndiaMART buy-leads through IndiaMART's own website using your existing logged-in session, and stores them locally in your browser (Chrome local storage) so it can detect new and matching leads. This lead and buyer information is processed only in your browser and is not transmitted to our servers.
c) Settings (stays on your device):
- Your keywords, polling interval, click budget, and similar preferences are stored locally in your browser.
3. How we use the information
- To confirm you hold a valid, active license.
- To enforce the maximum number of simultaneous devices per license, and to let you switch devices.
- To keep your session active and to lock access if a license is disabled, expires, or a device is removed.
- To protect the service from abuse through rate limiting.
We do not use your information for marketing, profiling, or advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
4. Where data is stored and who processes it
- Account and licensing data is stored in a Neon PostgreSQL database, and our API runs on Cloudflare Workers. These providers process this data on our behalf strictly to run the service.
- Lead data and settings are stored locally in your browser and are not uploaded to us.
- The Extension operates on IndiaMART using your own logged-in session. Your use of IndiaMART is governed by IndiaMART's own terms and privacy policy.
5. Data sharing
We do not share your data with third parties except:
- Our infrastructure providers (Neon and Cloudflare) strictly to run the service.
- Where required by law.
6. Data retention
- Licensing records (license, device registrations, login) are kept for as long as your license is active. You may request deletion (see Contact).
- Lead data and settings live only in your browser and are removed when you clear the Extension's data or uninstall it.
7. Security
- Sensitive server credentials are never included in the Extension.
- Access rules and server-side functions protect all account data.
- Passwords are never stored in plain text; they are kept only as salted PBKDF2 hashes.
8. Your choices
- You can log out at any time from the Extension popup.
- You can remove a device to free a slot.
- You can uninstall the Extension to stop all local processing and clear locally stored data.
- To request access to, or deletion of, your account data, contact us at the email above.
9. Children
The Extension is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do.
